Elon Musk Introduces New Opportunities for Generous Earnings on X.com
On Friday, Elon Musk lowered the eligibility criteria for sharing advertising revenue from $15 million to $5 million and the minimum payment to $10 from the current $50.
The owner of X Corp said that this effectively means that X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) is free for accounts that generate more than 5 million views.
“Please note that only views from verified handles are counted, because otherwise scammers use bots as spam with views to infinity,” said the tech billionaire.
Earlier, X Support tweeted that they have lowered the eligibility limit for ad revenue sharing from 15 million to 5 million impressions in the last three months.
“We have also reduced the minimum payment threshold from $50 to $10,” the company added.
When Musk rolled out his ad revenue program for content creators globally, including in India, one previously had to subscribe to X Premium, get at least 15 million views on cumulative posts in the last three months and have at least 500 followers.
Earlier this week, the company paid content creators their share of ad revenue in the second tranche under a newly launched “ad revenue sharing program” for content creators.
Creators were supposed to get their share of the ad for the week ending July 31, which the company suspended because it was inundated with requests for payment.
